It is important to engage young people in youth violence prevention work. Young people's voices, unique experiences, needs, and strengths need to be at the center of youth violence prevention work.

CDC's Youth Violence Prevention Centers and recipients of the Preventing Teen Dating and Youth Violence by Addressing Shared Risk and Protective Factors cooperative agreement are effectively engaging young people in their youth violence prevention activities.

Please join the Division of Violence Prevention’s (DVP) Youth Violence Workgroup for a webinar and forum where youth from University of Louisville’s Youth Violence Prevention Center and the Baltimore City Health Department will highlight ways in which they are engaged in local youth violence prevention work. After formal presentations, youth from funded sites around the country will engage in a conversation on ways they can be more involved in youth violence prevention in their local communities.
