Congratulations to one of our collaborators, Dr. Inger Burnett-Zeigler, and her team for their contributions to a recent APA report on Stress and Health Disparities

A recent report from the American Psychological Association featured work by one of our collaborators, Dr. Inger Burnett-Zeigler, and her research team.  They have been studying the benefits of mind-body interventions and mindfulness for stress and depression in underserved & racial/ethnic minority populations.

This research is an important contribution to addressing health disparities since people with low incomes and racial/ethnic minority populations experience greater levels of stress than their more affluent, white counterparts, which can lead to significant disparities in both mental and physical health that ultimately affect life expectancy.
